At age 12, the aspring producer took part in an music production course where he learned music theory and how to play several instruments. In 2009, he hit paydirt with a song he recorded for Livewire members Lil' Blood and Lil' Rue called "Snitch Food." The popular street anthem quickly made AK47 a household name and he went on to produce songs for a number of other Bay Area acts including: J Stalin, Keak Da Sneak, Philthy Rich, AOne, Vital, Yowda (MMG), HD, Young Lanksy, G VAl, Retro, Mozzy, San Quinn, Pooh Hefner, Cookie Money, Guce, AC, 4rAx, The Jacka, Young Gully, Stevie Joe, Husalah, BKilled, KR Mack, Rydah J. Klyde, Joe Blow, Kurt Diggler, Black Dream, Shady Nate, Beeda Weeda, etc. In 2013, AK and Philthy Rich began a working partnership and have put out several collaboration albums, singles, and remixes.
